Michael and all,
   May I reiterate my point (under the new subject line) that
the C-like format should be transformed (possibly invisibly)
into standard occam by a preprocessor? This means there is
really no question of new syntax at all. It limits the new
format to the tried-and-true and forces there to be a logical
relationship, which should be expressible in a handbook even
thinner than the occam-2 handbook - a no-risk proposition
suitable for an undergraduate project.
