made from the very small to the extremely large. And
although parallelism is an important aspect of system
architecture, it is often overlooked. Due to the wide
variety of systems, parallelism presents itself in many
different shapes, requiring different design approaches.
What approaches have been chosen in the past, and do they
have something in common? Can we learn from them how to do
it better? What do we need in the future?
