I may be doing it wrong, but I first installed ch_p4 and tested it on a network of SPARC-5 workstations. This worked fine. Next I proceeded to install the ch_shmem device, intending to use it on a SPARCserver-1000 with 8 processors. All the sparcs run Solaris 2.5.1. After ch_shmem finished building, mpirun could no longer detect the ch_p4 device architectures! Using command-line options for mpirun didn't help--it was still trying to run the shared memory version no matter what machine I was on. Is there something I can do to fix that, other than installing the shared memory version in a different location from the p4 version? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
