Other times it is working fine. I'm running mpich 1.1 on a group of SGI machines, all running IRIX 6.2. Can someone explain me what might be the cause of this error and how to prevent this error? Some details: The machines I'm using are: PowerChallenge (4*R8000) Indigo2 (R10000) 3 Indigo (R4000) 1 Indy (R4600) On the PowerChallenge I've compiled mpi and the program with -64 -mips4 and I run this program on both PowerChallenge and Indigo2. On the other machines I use -32 and mips2 for mpi and the program.
