Hi all,

I understand that the MPICH standard send uses eager protocol for short
messages and uses rendezvous protocol for long messages. There is a
threshold value which defines what messages are short and long. If
I am right, what is value of this threshold value? Is it possible
for the user to set/configure it and how? Or is it possible to
configure this value when make and install MPICH and how?

What are the situations for other implmentation of MPI?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

JL
