Hi,
I don't know much about batch queueing systems, but you might look
at how PUCC handles things at Purdue on their SP2 and Paragon.
They use the Protable Batch System (PBS) to manage submission of
parallel jobs (including MPI) to their SP2.  I haven't used the
Paragon, but it looks like it runs a distributed operating system
which manages things automatically.
