All the motherboards I have have connectors for Infrared emmiters and
receivers, yet no one supplies them, my eforts to get them or to get the
specs to acquire them have been pointless. Can I put regular Emitter and
Receiver from Radio Shack ?

If anybody can shed some light on this issue will be greatly appreciated
