I am beginning my undergraduate honors thesis, which will involve
implementing an asynchronous checkpointing facility for MPICH.  The
first thing that I would like to do is collect a suite of real
applications to serve as test cases.  As far as validity is concerned, I
would prefer to use real software for benchmarks instead of dreamed-up
example code.  If anyone has pointers to MPI implementations of
simulations, equation solvers, or anything used to solve an
honest-to-god problem, I would really appreciate it.
