The ISCOPE '97 Conference focuses on the interfaces among parallel and
distributed computing, object-oriented methods, and scientific
applications which require high performance.  As the successor to three
related meetings, (POOMA,OONSCI,IWPC++) ISCOPE has brought together a
distinguished set of speakers from 10 countries. Papers cover
applications, compiler and runtime support, distributed computing and
languages (featuring a half day devoted to Java in high performance
computing). Proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag
