Yes, you only have to install a service that will handle remote-starting.
This is in case of WMPI - service_p4.exe and in case of MPICH/NT -
mpiserve.exe.
We are using WMPI 0.9 and remote starting works with no troubles.

In case of HPVM package (to which you probably refer as FM-MPI), there is a
more complicated (and, probably, more powerful) mechanism of remote
starting - Java front-end, working through Load Sharing Facility software.
