The Cooperative Research Centre for Advanced Computational Systems
(ACSys) has been established under the Commonwealth Government's CRC
Program with the mission of being a centre of excellence in
information technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of its research, ACSys is proposing to establish a number of
high-bandwidth research networks within Australia and internationally.

Applications are invited to fill the following position in the ACSys
CRC located in Canberra.

ANU Officer Grade 5/6 (Information Technology) 
Fixed Term Ref: S02701405/G980595 

The appointee would be expected to assist in the system
administration, application support and programming for a broad range
of ACSys CRC computing, networking and data storage
infrastructure. This would include support of the ACSys CRC web
services and extranet. Experience with various Internet technologies
is highly desirable, as is experience with programming in C and
Perl. The ability to undertake system administration, application
support and programming on Unix systems and desktop computers, in
particular Solaris, Digital Unix and Windows NT is essential.

Appointments will be for a fixed period of 2 years. Secondments will
be considered.

Salary: ANUO 5/6 $33,801 - $41,294 pa
