I've tried to re-install mpich including MPE modules and I got the
following problems:

pm95r@daedalus:~/mpich/examples/basic> mpirun -np 2 cpi
Process 0 on daedalus.ecs.soton.ac.uk
Process 1 on daedalus.ecs.soton.ac.uk
pi is approximately 3.1416009869231241, Error is 0.0000083333333309
wall clock time = 0.082818
p1_8234:  p4_error: interrupt SIGSEGV: 11
p0_8221:  p4_error: interrupt SIGSEGV: 11

it does not terminate correctly.
