Hi,

I don't know if this is the right newsgroup to post this, sorry if it
isn't.

I'm going to start some research at my university regarding porting our
group's OS ( RT-Mach with fault-tolerant extensions ) to a
multiprocessing environment ( multiple CPU with shared-memory ). For
that, I've started checking the RT-Mach boot code sequence and SMP on
Linux ( to see if I can steal, err... borrow some ideas from it ).
The purpose of this project is to have a real-time multiprocessor
operating system to test some fault-tolerant algorithms.

Anyway, 'cause I've just begun with this, I haven't done a lot of
research ( just got some pointers from the web ), and I was wondering if
somebody in this newsgroup has ever done some research or know something
about multiprocessing on Mach ( not necessarily on RT-Mach ).

I think Next has done some stuff on it, but I'm not sure about.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hugo
