I experienced a similar problem. Without the source code it is not
possible to check the MPI conformance of the code.

You can try two solutions: 
1. replace the MPI_Sends with MPI_Ssend
2. Set the environment variable MPI_BUFFER_MAX to 0 ( also try 1 just
   to be sure). This will tell MPI to use a different method to send your
   messages if their length is above 0 or 1 Byte. 

Both solutions should prevent the buffer overruns.
