I'm thinking about building a beowulf
for HPC using MPI.

I've read that Beowulf does include LAM MPI,
not MPI-CH .
Why such a choice, are there any problems using
LAM MPI instead of MPICH.
 Is LAM MPI
less up to date than MPICH, more ore less efficient,
is it supporting as much of MPI-2
as MPICH (MPI-IO and MPI-C++ in particular).

what does Beowulf offers for MPI programmers that using
good drivers with a MPI on Linux ?

Thanks in advance.
