Hmmm.  Maybe you could nice all of LAM, though I don't know how
to arrange that with lamboot.

You could write a nice application for LAM that would take all
application processes across the virtual machine and nice them.
First you launch the app, then run the lamnice utility.
Just a crazy idea.
