I want to generate *.alog file when I use MPE library.
MPICH-1.1.2 generate *.clog file so I can't see the log file by upshot.
How can I generate alog file?
When I use mpich-1.1.1 which someone has patched,
mpich-1.1.1-6-i386.rpm in redhat contrib directory, there is no problem.

Environment:

Red Hat Linux 5.1 (using non-experimental Linux kernel 2.0.35)
tulip.c:v0.88   4/7/98 becker@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov [in kernel, not modular]
g77 version egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release)
gcc version egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release)

and the mpich-1.1.2 was built in its own directory using:

./configure -opt="-O" -cc=gcc -c++=g++ -fc=f77\
 -f90=f90 -fflags="-f -s -B108" -f90flags="-B108" -fortnames=UNDERSCORE
make
cp /etc/hosts.equiv > util/machines/machines.LINUX  [define our cluster]
make testing

All tests passed.

Is there any clue?
