I wanted to clarify a couple of things before doing so. Will XMPI be compatible with MPICH which I am installing on my machine? If not will I have to download LAM and install XMPI with it? Also will XMPI be compatible with my AIX4.3.2? The Announce file say it'll be compatibe with IBM, AIX v3r2. I want a dynamic way of seeing how the processes are communicating while they are executing. It is my understanding that XMPI can do so, very much like xpvm. Am I right here? Till now I did not have java libraries and Tcl/Tk installed on the system properly so Totalview, upshot and nupshot were not running with MPICH. Do these applications visualize the dynamic communication of the processes? If so I will configure MPICH with Java etc and forget about XMPI. Any feedback/thoughts are highly appreciated.
