Okay - so I found the FAQ entries. I still have a problem with it. I list
several hosts in the file but pvm seems to ignore the file I give it.

cat host.file
squib
nibble
doddy

pvm host.file
pvm> conf
1 host, 1 data format
                    HOST DTID ARCH SPEED
      harry 40000 SUN4 1000

What's going on?

cheers
Piers
