I am trying to install and run the molecular mechanics/dynamics program
CHARMM, using the PVM'd parallel version on a new SGI Origin
multiprocessing system. Every individual component seems to check out,
but no multiprocessing actions occur, although the single processor
process generates correct test results. I suspect that I do not have
the correct configuration for the hostfile or the pvm startup, but I do
not readily find how to set this up for a multiprocessor single machine
like the Origin.

Does anyone have PVM running real applications on an SGI Origin, and if
so could they kindly share with me how they configure their system?

Many thanks.
