I have been running the PVM versions you wrote for about 6-8 months
I have been adding hosts in the following manner:

>add "sl111-nt dx=d:\pvm\pvm3\lib\win32\pvmd3 so=ms"

This does work, although it requires time and is a pain (especially if
there are a lot of machines)

My question is, I looked at the AUTO start...using

>add "sl111-nt dx=d:\pvm\pvm3\lib\win32\pvmd3 so=pw lo=administrator"

This returns Error 1 and also the following:

[pvm pid-1] Could not get PVM_TMP, continuing with
/tmp/pvml.Administrator
[pvmd pid422] PVM_ROOT environment variables not set
[pvmd pid422] pvmbailout(0)

So how can I set the PVM_TMP, PVM_ROOT, PVM_ARCH ??

I need to use the AUTO add feature of PVM, as we are going to start
using
10-15 remote machines.

For local operation of PVM, these variables are set in the System
Envirnoment variables....but there are not set while RSHing to the
remote machines.

I have read the PVM Manual for UNIX, it does not discuss this problem
for UNIX, I have no clue how to solve this for NT4.0.

Any help that anyone could offer, would be greatly appreciated....

Chris J
