Hi Stuart,

Have you tried to look at the environment on the other
machines, using 'rsh host2 set' ?
If PVM_ROOT and PVM_ARCH are set correctly, you
should be able add with dx pointing to the lib directory,
rather than to the pvmd itself. In the lib directory you will
find a script, that starts the real deamon.
