Hi,
I am new to PVM. 
We are planning to run PVM on the three
DEC alpha(running OSF) in our dept.

Presumably, we need to connect them with faster physical links.
We have two choices:
Fast Ethernet: Cheap,    100MB/s
Fddi         : Expensive  GB/s

Which should we use? We are concerned with both speed
and price. We wish fast ethernet will do but fear
that it will defeat the speed gain from PVM by
network latency. Any experienced help is greatly 
appreciated.
