Hi,
this maybe an old chestnut, but I have tried to do
my homework on DejaNew and cannot see a fix.

I cannot successfully run pvm3.3.11 under IRIX6.2.
Builds and runs fine under 5.3.

I have downloaded PVM 3.4.beta4, which has explicit
configurations for SGI6 (yes, I want -n32 ABI).  

This builds ok, but on running
the console I get the following

libpvm [pid1899] /tmp/pvmd.653: No such file or directory
libpvm [pid1899]: Console: Can't start pvmd

(yes, I have set PVM_ARCH and PVM_ROOT!).


OK, whats the trick ?
