CALL FOR PAPERS

	Ninth Eurographics Workshop on Visualization in Scientific Computing
				Blaubeuren, Germany
				April 20-22, 1998

AIMS AND SCOPE
Following eight successful workshops (Clamart-1990, Delft-1991,
Viareggio-1992,
Abingdon-1993, Rostock-1994, Chia-1995, Prague-1996, Boulogne sur
Mer-1997) the
ninth Eurographics Workshop on Visualization in Scientific Computing
will be
held in Blaubeuren, Germany. The workshop aims to be a forum of
discussion
therefore we also encourage contributions describing work in progress
and
partial solutions. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

	* Volume visualization
	* Fluid flow visualization
	* Surface extraction and visualization
	* Parallel and distributed visualization
	* User interface techniques
        * Multi-variate visualization
	* Visualization and modeling of large datasets
	* Data handling and data modeling
	* Biological and medical imaging
	* Information visualization
	* Virtual reality in scientific visualization
	* Visualization in education support

PAPER SUBMISSION
Contributions are invited with respect to all the above mentioned
aspects of
scientific visualization, including visualization tools and methods, and
discipline-specific applications. Authors are requested either to send
five
copies of a full paper including figures and images (max. 10 pages) by
regular
mail or to upload the PostScript version of the full paper. In addition,
authors are encouraged to write and upload their paper with Springer
style
files. Directions for paper submission and uploading will be available.
Handouts of all accepted papers will be distributed to the workshop
participants. As in previous years, selected papers will be published in
a
Springer book.

LOCATION AND ORGANIZATION
The workshop will be held in Blaubeuren, Germany (south of the country).
The
workshop will be organized by the WSI/GRIS (Computer Graphics Lab of the
University of Tuebingen). During the workshop, two social events will be
offered to the participants: a visit of the city of Ulm and a dinner.

FEES
Attendance fees will be approximately 570 Sfr for EG members or 700 Sfr
for non
members and will cover the participants edition of the proceedings, full
board
and lodging for three days, refreshments during coffee breaks, the final
proceedings book (to be mailed after the workshop) and both social
events.
