I've tried to install PVM 3.4beta[4,5,6] on a Win95 computer. PVM seems
to be working properly on Win95. However, I couldn't remotely start PVM
daemon on this Win95 computer from SGI workstation running PVM3.4beta[4,
5 or 6].

On the SGI PVM console, I used something like

add "<win95 hostname> dx=e:\pvm3\lib\pvmd.bat"

I discovered that the pvmd was actually started on this Win95 machine.
But somehow the SGI has bever been able to negotiate with Win95. On SGI's
PVM console, I got message "Can't start pvmd". Upon checking the file
"pvml.xxxx", it said "startack() host <mywin95 hostname> expected
version, got "PvmCantStart".

Can anyone help me out?
