Does anyone have any experience with this. 9) and 10) give the error mesages that i'm getting. Here is my situation: 1) I'm running a stand alone pentium system. 2) I have downloaded arshd and have it running. 3) I have changed the DNS to enabled added the hostname TRENTON, gave it the address 127.0.0.1 4) Added a hosts file to my c:\windows directory with a host TRENTON at 127.0.0.1 5) The network file is set to 127.0.0.1 loopback 6) My autoexec.bat file has had the following added to it PVM_TEMP=c:\temp SET PVM_ROOT = D:\PROGRA~1\PVM SET PVM_ARCH = WIN32 SET PVM_RSH=c:\rsh SET COMPILER = BORLANDC++ SET COMPILER = VISUALC++ SET LIBDIR = D:\BC5\LIB SET INCLUDE = D:=BC5\INCLUDE SET CCOMPILER = BORLANDC++ SET CLIBDIR = d:\BC5\LIB SET CINCLUDE = d:\BC5\INCLUDE set HOME=d:\ 7) I don't get any errors when rshd is run 8) I can't get much 'response' from typing rsh, won get any response eg.
