Hi,
I'm trying to use the installshield version of PVM 3.4b6 on
NT. I'm using the Microsoft NT res kit rshd. When I fire up
pvm after rebooting; i get

libpvm [pid117] mksocs() connect: No error
pvmd already running.
libpvm [pid117] mksocs() connect: Bad file descriptor
libpvm [pid117] mksocs() connect: Bad file descriptor

aand in the temp dir i have the following

C:\TEMP>type pvmd.Ad*

pvmd.Administrator

7f000001:07a8
C:\TEMP>type pvml.Ad*

pvml.Administrator

[pvmd pid65] warning: can't getenv(HOME), using /
[pvmd pid65] mksocs() C:\TEMP\/pvmd.Administrator exists. pvmd already running?

[pvmd pid65] pvmbailout(0)

Could this be a rshd problem? rsh localhost ls does just fine
I didnt think starting pvm needed rsh though...

Is the resource kit a bad rshd to use? I couldnt get ataman rshd to work(their telnetd did), and Exceed comes with a rexecd. Any comments on that?

Thanks a lot,
Rahul
