dear news-reader

i'm just trying to install pvm-3.4-beta4.2.i386 on my computer
(ibm pc, i586, Linux2.0.30) 
when i type:

rpm -i --test pvm-3.4-beta4.2.i386.rpm

to test on dependencies i get the message

fehlgeschlagene Paket-Abhängigkeiten:
        libc.so.6 wird von pvm-3.4-beta4.2 gebraucht
        ld-linux.so.2 wird von pvm-3.4-beta4.2 gebraucht

saying that i need libc.so.6 and ld-linux.so.2 
my versions of these libraries are libc.so.5.4.33 and 
ld-linux.so.1.9.2 and i didn't ducceed in finding newer ones anywhere
can i compile pvm without these libraries, if not 
where can i get them ???
