Hello,

I was under the impression that the part of the idea of the pmvd was
that it would sit in the background waiting for a kick and until it received
that kick it would use up next to none of the cpu time. However under
windows NT 4 task manager the pmvd seems to be taking up 90 percent of the
CPU time when lying idle. Is this meant to happen as the same problem does
not seem to arise under UNIX.
       Please send replies to ian.parker@optronics.co.uk

Cheers.
