Newsgroups: comp.parallel.pvm From: "Patrick LEGRAND" Subject: xpvm question Organization: Slurp News Feeds Date: Wed, 12 Aug 1998 13:43:43 GMT Message-ID: I have a question about xpvm. I have 2 PC's connected, one with NT (called by myself P200) and the another with Linux (P90). I'm using PVM 3.4 beta 6 version. xpvm runs on the Linux PC. I can see the famous two boxes connected : everything is allright. I start several times the well-known example program hello-hello_other. hello runs always on P200. Alternatively, hello_other runs one time on P200, and the time after on P90. When I watch the time-scheduler (sorry, I can't remember the exact name. I'm writing this message from my job office, not at home), I mean the window with horizontal histograms where you can see red arrows which represent messages passing, then I never see P90 in the left column, but well and only P200. Is this normal ? I was expected to see P200 and P90. What do you think about ? Thanks in advance. Patrick LEGRAND patrick.legrand@sl.lu Poly-Science (+352) 43 40 20 21
