In the context of a PVM of multiple (say) dual processor nodes
is it possible to arrange for intra-node comms to be performed
via SHMEM (with the inter-node comms handled as usual by sockets)?

I am aware of the SHMEM version of PVM, but not whether it interoperates
with the traditional version.

Any comments/pointers welcomed.
