Hello,

I am using PVM 3.3 to write a program using the Master-Slave paradigm.
The master is started from a normal xterm window and this, in turn,
spawns the slaves.

Is it possible to change PVM (on an SGI) in any way to stop it capturing
the slaves stdout and stderr output and placing it in a pvml.#### file.

I would simply like the output to be displayed in the xterm from which
the master was run. I don't even need the TID of the process to be
appended to the front of each output line - just the raw output would be
fine.

There are two reasons I would like this:

1.If, for any reason, the slaves crash then the last few lines of output
are usually lost. This does make debugging rather more difficult.
2. During debugging sessions I would like to see the progress of the
master and slaves in one window rather than have to keep looking at the
log file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason
