Hi,

I just installed pvm3.4 on NT 4.0. I have the host on my machine and
installed the "slave" on machine VLAD. I then recompiled the sample
hello.c and hello_other.c. On my machine,
I start up pvm and at the prompt say

pvm> add "vlad2 d:\pvmd3.exe lo=finance so=finance"

and get back the following message:

0 successful.
Can't start pvmd.

I have checked that the d drive on the VLAD machine is NTFS. The executable
is there. What's going on? Do I have to start the executable by hand on
VLAD and then connect to it from my machine?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ted
