Subject: What does bogus pkt mean in PVM logfile?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

Hi,

Could anybody out there tell me what the following message in my
PVML.**** logfile means. I understand that the first 2 lines show that
pvm is up and running but I have problems with lines 3&4:-

[t80040000] VASAPC (155.245.210.25:1053) WIN32 3.4.beta6
[t80040000] ready Thu Dec 10 10:38:37 1998
[t80040000] netinput() bogus pkt from 155.245.211.98:2769
[t80040000] startack() host brahms expected version, got "PvmCantStart"

This occurs when trying to add a host under NT. Is this bogus packet a
problem with pvm or RSH?

Is there a simple way to rectify this problem?
