THEME

Parallel computing seeks to develop high performance computing system
for challenging problems which demand enormous computation and data.
Recently, massive computing on enormous real-time data like multimedia
data has emerged in order to support various services with high quality
and efficiency. Accordingly the need for parallel architecture and
applications is growing.
The main objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers
from parallel computing areas with the aim of encouraging the exchange
of ideas and experience between these communities.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to :

   Parallel Algorithm Multicasting
Parallel Architecture Simulation and Performance Analysis
Interconnection Networks Operating Systems for Parallel Processing
Cache/Memory Management Load Balancing and Sharing
   Applications Parallel Multimedia Servers

Submission : 1 Feb 1999 IS EXTENDED to 8 Feb. 1999
Notification of acceptance : 15 May 1999
Camera-ready copies : 15 June 1999

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Authors are invited to submit research contributions representing
original, previously unpublished work. Submitted papers will be
carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical
soundness, and clarity of exposition. All papers will be refereed by
at least two members of the program committee. Accepted papers will
be published by IEEE Computer Society Press as proceedings of the
ICPP'99 workshops. All submitted papers MUST be formatted according
to the author guidelines provided by IEEE Computer Society
Press(two-column format) and MUST NOT be longer than SIX pages.
