I got the same errors compiling it under redhat linux 5.1. To fix it I
commented out the declarations that were conflicting in the pvm.h file. It
compiled and I have successfully rendered across eight nodes so I am
assuming it worked. I don't know what the ramifications of making that
change might be on your alpha system so your mileage may vary.
