Hi,

I have installed pvm3 (version 3.3.11) from Parallel GENESIS
distribution.
We have several SUN workstations running Solaris and Kerberos in the
local network but rsh is enabled so I can start pvmd directly -

    aurell~% rsh harrison $PVM_ROOT/lib/pvmd

However, I fail to add any host from pvm console. It replies

    0 successful
                    HOST DTID
                    harrison Can't start pvmd

and writes in /tmp/pvml.*

[t80000000] stderr@harrison: rcmd: socket: Permission denied
    [t80000000] stdout@harrison: EOF
[t80040000] startack() host harrison expected version, got
"PvmCantStart"

What does it mean? It is not explained in PVM documentation.
Thanks,

Alex.
