Hi all,

In our college, we are planning to deploy a 'beowulf-like' cluster
using several linux nodes.

The problem is that we don't know which network architecture we can
choose. The alternatives are:

1) switched Fast ethernet
2) Myrinet LAN

1) Is well known and much cheaper.

2) Provides better performance due to latency times and bandwidth.

Can you give me any recomendation or advice? Is the performance
improvement (using myrinet) worth the cost difference?

Do youn know of any other alternative we can use?

Any help or advice would be welcome.
Thanks in advance

Greetings from SPAIN.
Eduardo
