Hi,

For the last few months I have been successfully using PVM 3.3.11 on a
network of Sun Solaris 2.7 workstations. Most of the workstations have the
SUN4SOL2 architecture and two have the SUNMP (shared memory) architecture.

I have now tried to upgrade to PVM 3.4 but have had a few problems. The
new daemon runs fine on the SUN4SOL2 boxes, but it just seems to hang when
I try to start it on the SUNMP boxes. I've tried various modifications to
the SUNMP.def file and also setting PVM_SHMEM on and off, but nothing
seems to work.

Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

Thanks,

Andrew J. Reilly
