Hooo-boy, things keep getting betterer and betterer. It happens that I CAN
start up PVM daemons on the Windows NT Workstations as slaves of a master PVM
daemon on one of the Linux systems:

   [tony@srvr05 tony]$ $PVM_ROOT/lib/LINUX/pvm
   pvm> conf
   1 host, 1 data format
                       HOST DTID ARCH SPEED DSIG
              srvr05.weland 40000 LINUX 1000 0x00408841
   pvm> add "srvr19.weland lo=\\weland\tony dx=d:\apps\pvm\lib\WIN32\pvmd3.exe"
   Console: exit handler called
   1 successful
                       HOST DTID
   srvr19.weland lo=\\weland\tony dx=d:\apps\pvm\lib\WIN32\pvmd3.exe 80000
   pvm> conf
   2 hosts, 1 data format
                       HOST DTID ARCH SPEED DSIG
              srvr05.weland 40000 LINUX 1000 0x00408841
              srvr19.weland 80000 WIN32 1000 0x00408841
   pvm> delete srvr19.weland
   1 successful
                       HOST STATUS
              srvr19.weland deleted
   pvm> halt

   Terminated
   [tony@srvr05 tony]$

So, does this mean that in the realm of PVM, Linux rules over NT? Still, just
for completeness' sake, it would be nice to be able to have an NT box host the
master pvmd.

Cheers,
