Mark Smotherman (mark@cs.clemson.edu) of Clemson is putting together a
list of recent processor architects at:

He has asked me to help him with input on stack processors.  What he's
looking for is the name of the main architect (or small team of
designers who "made it happen") for chips that actually sold in some
non-trivial volume in the marketplace.

Any of the transputer architects out there?
