Hi Ian
thanks for the pointers bad the code I have had a look at it and have
compared it to the code produced for the transputer emulator. With two pieces
of code joined to produce a fully
functional item in software and hardware there is a possibility of an item.
Now for the newsgroup religious question.....
In this age where object orientated operting systems are becoming the norm
along with distributed
processing and multitasking, would the transputer need an MMU in a future
version?
With a higher speed core in the ranges of the AMD, HyperSparc, Intel cores
could we increase the i/o links speeds to about 100Mb/s?
Internal memory on the ic would we increase it to the size of the pentium pro
cache 64k?
With the higher speeds would a non multiplexed bus be better?
pete
