When I worked for Cogent Research I lead a team that created a desktop,
moderately parallel, computer using 32 T414 and T800 processors.  The
only quick way to debug the hardware was to use Forth.  To this end we
wrote a specific Forth-79 kernel.  It ran very fast and could replicate
itself to other processors.

I might be able to come up with some source code, if you're interested.
