BIDM.Asset.Abstract The mp_solve software package is for solving large, irregular, sparse systems of equations with multiple excitation vectors on distributed memory parallel computers using LU factorization. The MPI communications library is used for interprocessor communications. The Chaco graph partitioning software from Sandia National Laboratories is used to obtain a nested-dissection partition of the system of equations on a serial computer before the parallel solver is used.
