Virtue

Abstract

Virtue is a collaborative virtual environment for direct software manipulation. Traditional software development tools focus on regular codes and small, often easily solved problems, with limited applicability to dynamic, irregular computations and heterogeneous systems. The objective of the Virtue project is the development of virtual environments that allow software developers to directly manipulate software components and their behavior while immersed in scalable, hierarchical representations of software structure and real-time performance data.
