IBM ESSL 3.1

Abstract

ESSL provides mathematical subroutines optimized for high performance on RS/6000 systems and clusters of RS/6000 servers and/or workstations. ESSL performs various mathematical computations which include linear algebra subprograms for vector-scalar and matrix-vector multiplications; matrix operations for real general or transposed matrices; linear algebraic equations solvers for several classes of matarics; eigensystem analysis for the real general and real symmetric matrices; signal processing algorithms including Fourier transforms, convolution,and correlation; random number generation; linear least squares, and numerical quadrature.
