                      ACE/PACT Compilers for T4, T8 and T9


          ACE  Associated Computer Experts bv and PACT Parallel Archi-
          tecture and Compiler Technology introduce the EXPERT  Paral-
          lel  Development  System.  This new product is a combination
          of the ACE EXPERT Transputer Compiler Family  and  the  PACT
          Parallel  C  Compiler System for the transputer.  Integrated
          these constitute a stand-alone and complete set of tools for
          developing  applications  on the T400, T800 and T9000 trans-
          puters.

          The EXPERT Parallel Development System  consists  of  front-
          ends  for  the  languages  Parallel  C,  K&R C, ANSI-C, For-
          tran-77, Pascal and Modula-2; a global optimizer, codegener-
          ators  for T400/T800 and T9000, source level debugging, full
          library support including virtual channel communication  and
          a  BCS compliant self-contained runtime system. It also pro-
          vides a converter for TCOFF to the BCS compliant COFF  stan-
          dard,  allowing  OCCAM  modules  and  libraries to be easily
          linked in.

          The EXPERT Parallel Development System aims at the real-time
          and  embedded  transputer market. It is available as a cross
          development system  and  supports  all  existing  transputer
          hardware.


          ACE as a Company:

          Since  its  foundation in 1975, ACE has notched up a remark-
          able string of achievements, such as being the  first  Euro-
          pean  company  to supply its own multi-processor UNIX kernel
          as a commercial product and developing the first  Fortran-77
          compiler for the MC68K to receive official validation.


          PACT as a Company:

          PACT,  founded  in 1987 and based in Delft, The Netherlands,
          is known for its PACT Parallel C Compiler System. This  com-
          piler  adds parallel language extensions to ANSI Standard C.
          With five years of parallel processing experience, the qual-
          ity  of  the Transputer BCS compliant PACT runtime system is
          guaranteed.
