Abstract:

Our experience programming transputer-based systems for the visualisation of solid models has highlighted the need to separate the issues of program decomposition, task and data scheduling and low level communication. In this paper we propose a three level software architecture for multicomputer to support geometrical computations. The architecture takes into account current and emerging hardware to support communications and scheduling.
