Abstract:

An approach to the development of parallel applications for the distributed memory computers based on the notion of configuration is presented. The configuration introduces a general context for the problems such as source program optimization, load balancing, mapping, processor network development. The paper contains the experimental results obtained with the DYNAMO system based on this approach.
